Echo-U are looking for a dynamic, results driven Financial Controller to manage and lead our accounting operation.

This is a new role working for one of the UK’s leading Business Process Outsourcers offering the chance for the successful candidate to become an integral part of our senior Leadership team, supporting all departments across our business.

Reporting directly to the Board, your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a financial controller will aid our organisation in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, managing budgets, developing financial plans that support organisational strategy, as well as all statutory and regulatory obligations.

The ideal candidate will be used to working in a fast paced environment and will possess strong analytical skills. A qualified accountant who is self driven, possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills, with excellent leadership characteristics.

This is an exciting opportunity with scope for growth that will see the successful candidate being responsible for the delivery of the entire finance requirements of the business.

Financial Controller Responsibilities:

• Management of the accounts team
• Maintain all financial controls and processes
• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts, including all reconciliations
• Management of sales, purchase ledger and payroll functions
• Responsible for working capital and cashflow management
• Responsible for the Statutory year-end audit and Corporation Tax compliance
• Assisting in preparation of annual budgeting and forecasting
• Responsible for compliance with all statutory reporting requirements and tax filings, including insurance
• Provide monthly financial analysis and KPI’s to the business
• Take a prominent role in any business wide projects providing appropriate financial insight.

Financial Controller Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Proven experience in preparation of monthly management accounts and year end financial statements
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards
• Excellent communicator with the ability to develop and deliver reports to all stakeholders
• Experience in financial planning, budgets, and forecasting preferred
• An ability to deliver in a fast paced environment responding to changing business needs
• Strong leadership qualities and good interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Experience working in an owner managed environment would be beneficial but not essential
